It's only been that long?

Did you know that he made me drive with him to the landfill today? And then, the entire time he was laughing at my reaction to the experience! Happy Anniversary! Can we go to Pittsburgh yet!

Spending time at 1st dam. It was where we had our 2nd date.

I have this thing about ducks. I love seeing and feeding them.

This is just one of the many streets that have been closed. Darn flooding!

I will miss this place. This is where James and I had our 3rd date. He states that he wanted to show that he could spend money. That's definitely how you're going to get a girl.

I don't think I need to explain this.

The 'Burgh

But first, what about some Texas pride. This picture is for David since he is a Longhorns fan.

Driving into downtown Pittsburgh

Flash rain anyone?

James and Ryan(Stevie) - Ryan and his wife Liz went to high school with James.

Can we not go anywhere without going to a baseball game? Great view of the city!

The Cathedral of Learning. This is the 2nd tallest education building in the nation and it is where the School of Social Work is located. Where's Laura?

Into the Cathedral we go...

I just thought this was funny considering we were now on the other side of the country.

Sarah

Ryan and Abby

Liz

And you know James.

Hanging out in a park.

We loved our trip. I thought that it was green in Utah because of all the rain we've been getting, but it doesn't compare to Pennsylvania. We found a great duplex that meets beyond our expectations and we look forward to what other adventures Pittsburgh bring to us.

Family Fun!

Thrifty Find

What do you get when you marry a thrift shopper? Apparently, you find great things. Yesterday, USU was holding a bid sale. I didn't even know USU had sales, but when you marry someone who's all about a "good deal", you learn fast. Behold, a banker's desk. It is made out of all wood, completely works, and was $10!

Another great thing about this desk is the lock mechanism.

For those of you out there who don't know much about USU history, let me educate you. The school was formed in 1888, originally known as Utah State Agricultural College. By 1957, the school was changed to Utah State University. Somewhere between 1888 and 1957, this desk was manufactured.

Buried treasure? Nope, but it's still cool to find things such as an old receipt from 1949 for a Reader's Digest subscription for $1.65

Now, the big question? What are we going to do with it? You can't be serious about wanting to take it to Pittsburgh?!

Do you not know my husband? Yes, we are taking it with us. Somehow we will find room in what small "affordable" place we find. I'm excited to see the work in progress. What color should it be? Paint or stain? We will see!

Tune in...
In a week we are flying out to Pittsburgh to find housing!
